Using multiple digital photos to make a single large photo

This tutorial was made as a project for a course I was taking in JavaScript.
Therefore — big surprise — it contains JavaScript. Lots of JavaScript. Probably more JavaScript than is strictly necessary, and therefore far too much to make its removal easy. I apologise if you're an anti-JavaScript zealot (as I am, really) and can't view this page; I just really needed an A in this course! (Oh yes, you also need to accept cookies for this tutorial to work, for reasons that will become obvious when you go through it.)
